Rollie .........."Get him to the Total Greek"

The Lovely Lovely people at Total yoghurt decided to let Rollie try some Greek split pot Yoghurt's. Well Rollie was so excited He lay in wait for the Ocado man first he hid in a box. I worry about my cat what goes through its mind. Why did it eat its own eyes holes out. Rollie of course can be hired out as a hitman.

Rollie then decided to stalk the Ocado man by waiting at the window..... Poor Ocado man....

Finally the Ocado man delivered much to the relief of Rollie , me and the rest of the human race.

Evil Rollie inspects the yoghurt's. You never argue with this cat . he took his time inspecting his hoard. Perhaps it was because the Ocado man ran , ran for his life from the property and Rollie was sulking at missing out on live prey.

Honestly Rollie is smiling within.

This is the information from the Total Greek website.

"

This all sounded good to me and Evil Ninja cat Rollie.

The First Total Greek Yogurt to be tried was the strawberry .Of course I ate the yogurt first and the cat had a little of each.... The split pot yoghurt's are great for breakfast, lunch or a dessert. We ate them mainly  for breakfast and for dessert . I found them all to be quite filling and satisfying . Anyway back to the strawberry yoghurt. I tried the strawberry compote first and found it to very sweet and quite jam like, but a very high quality jam.

Next up was the honey yoghurt, now I had read people had trouble with the honey setting in this yoghurt. I had no such trouble at all. The honey trickled easy offf my spoon into the Greek yoghurt. I have never been one for tipping the compote into the yoghurt. I think it is part of a mortal fear that it is going to spring out of my hats and splatter me in the face. I found the honey to be an ideal partner to the tartness of the Greek Yoghurt a good British  cup of tea.

We totally adored the blueberry yoghurt , it was an assualt on my senses. I loved the blueberries exploding on my tongue it was a bit of a "When Harry met Sally " moment ... blush. I think this has to be the best of the bunch  as it totally blew me away.

The final yoghurt was the tropical which at first looked odd because it has kiwi's in in but the taste is mellow and of course tropical  and it  transports you off to some tropical island( No it doesn't but we can all dream can't we.) It is rather sweet but it so nice.

So in conclusion Rollie and I really liked the yoghurts we think they have got the competition licked. Please head off to the Total Greek website , you can pick up so good fitness tips there too.

Jack the common servant cat decide  to clean up after King Rollie.

Nakd bar review

nakd bar review

With the emphasis on healthy lunchboxes now it is refreshing to have a healthy alternative to that chocolate covered biscuit. I often see what is put into children's lunch boxes as I work in a school , and they all enjoy sweet treats and chocolate covered bars( Many schools allow chocolate biscuits as it not seen as a sweet, yet they are really !) . Children seem to understand about healthy food and many school have  good policy on healthy eating. My own son is now conscious of your GDA .

What are Guideline Daily Amounts?

IGD established GDAs between 1995 and 1998
Guideline Daily Amounts (GDAs) are guidelines for healthy adults and children about the approximate amount of Calories, fat, saturated fat, carbohydrate, total sugars, protein, fibre, salt and sodium required for a healthy diet.
GDAs provide companies with a consistent approach to nutrition labelling. They give consumers additional information which they can use to gain a better understanding of their daily intake of specific nutrients.
GDAs are not targets for individuals to consume, but a guideline or benchmark to help them make dietary choices and balance their daily intake. For example, consumers can use them as a basis against which to judge the contribution of fat made by a particular food product to their diet.

Therefore when I was offered the Nakd bars to try I knew they would be put to good use; from J taking one to school as a healthy change from a sausage butty: to a boast after he was put through his paces at rugby.. The Nakd bars are different as they are 100% natural ingredients, they are wheat, dairy and gluten free and are full of goodness. The bars come in seven flavours Cocoa Delight, Cocoa Mint and the award winning* Cocoa Orange. Or try something a little fruitier with Berry Delight, which combines raw dates and cashews with raisins, raspberries and natural berry flavouring. Alternatively discover the delicious flavours of Cashew Cookie, Ginger Bread or Pecan Pie. Go on I can't resist saying "mmmmmm pie' and no I am not a simpson character!

"Nakd bars are a 100% natural whole food bar. A delicious blend of unsweetened fruit, rolled oats, nuts and spices. Nakd bars contain no artificial ingredients of any kind, no-added sugar and are made raw, never cooked. In fact if they were any more natural you'd have to peel them. They are a combination of natural superfoods with nothing artificial, so they are good for you in lots of ways. Rich in phytonutrients from raw plant foods to promote a healthy immune system and body function. Natural source of essential vitamins and minerals like B-vitamins, vitamin C, potassium, calcium, magnesium and iron to help provide energy, support a strong immune system, strengthen bones, and combat stress and ageing. High fibre to help balance blood sugar levels, control appetite and aid digestion. Plant-source protein to help maintain muscle, support metabolism, balance blood sugar, and control appetite."

We were sent the entire range to try out, obviously some flavours that were more popular than other. I bet you can guess what flavours they were., yes that's right  the cocoa ones !.

Nakd bars are suitable for people who have diabetes and also people who are coeliac as they are gluten free.

There were one or two flavours J and I were not keen on and this is no way reflects on the bars in general. They make ideal snacks and are great for lunchboxes , they are also ideal if your are out walking too as they will give you a natural burst of energy. Available from most supermarkets you can find out more about Nakd on their Facebook page.
(as you might of guessed I was sent these bars to review !)

Meowgon Pawney the @verylazyfood chef ......

The celebrity chef surveyed his empire readying himself with a few select swear words. Seeming that  no one is eating cucumber , Rollie is now using one as a battering ram for the cat flap. I digress from the task in hand or paw for that matter. Rollie had to get into his chef's whites.

Rollie was of course taught by Jaimie Oliver and gets his swearing ability from Gordon Ramsey.

Of course to save us from a trip to A & E I let my husband do the cooking.  I had been given Green Thai curry cooking concentrate from Very Lazy Food.

As you see from the top picture this comes in a neat glass jar with a a cardboard label surrounding this remove this to follow the very very easy instructions. The instructions told me to use chicken though you can substitute this for prawns etc Also suggested to add to it was green beans which husband did, husband also added those little sweetcorn things.

As the instructions say five minutes preparation fifteen minutes cooking !

The next step was siir frying the chicken for 3-4 minutes till cooked though husband gave it five.

The next step was for dutiful hubbie to add the Very lazy Green Thai Curry concentrate and cook for two minutes.

And of course don't forget the coconut milk........

And remembering to stir thoroughly, men are rather good at stirring aren't they.

The Coconut makes it quite fluid easily soaked up by the rice you can if you wish add a little less coconut milk than the 400ml suggested.

Whilst of course this is cooking out Rollie is preparing the boiling in the bag rice. Though the recipe suggested Jasmine rice . I would suddenly use my husband to cook again he is rather useful and worth keeping in the cupboard. Sorry the lazy Food concentrate is useful and definitely worth keeping in the cupboard there are so many variates to try. The chillies give it a bit of a kick but thats the way I like it.

When you have had a hard day cooking. ( NOTE cat is not DEAD its just tired.......)

Rollie is very much alive ( notice the wink ... again). I have a cat and yes it does cook..... Thank you @verylazyfood
