Win £25 Amazon Voucher

I am having somewhat of a grumpy week , I think it part like due to the fact I was quite ill a few weeks ago. I don't know if grumpiness is contagious but even the cat is looking grumpier that usual and believe me , the cat is never a happy soul. It is like death standing over me every time he looks at me.



So what can I do to cheer myself up I don't want chocolate some child thought I was having a baby.

I tried singing with my class and all was going well till after wind the bobbin one of them wanted a One Direction song.. I am old and out of touch!


I don't want wine.

I don't watch soaps.

I am not really a shoe shopper or a clothes fiend.

So what can I do ??

In the comments come up with some suggestions either fantasy suggestions that are clean ! or practical solutions.

Book a pampering session to look forward to (or just invite the girls round to pamper each other and have a bit of a grumble :) they will always make you laugh!) if all else fails grab some cheesy films (with some top totty such as Ryan Reynolds) that always cheers me up especially if it includes a bit of ab action :D

  7. If money is an issue, I always find a wardrobe clear out and reorganisation works wonders. And best of all, it's cheaper than retail therapy- infact, it's free! You rediscover pieces you'd forgotten about, you see your horrible old t shirts for what they really are, and when you do buy new pieces, you have in mind what else you have!

  17. A duvet, a sofa, a cup of tea, candles, nibbles, and a nice, middle of the road film, and the cat on your lap. I'd probably add crochet to that as that seems to make me happy. Your milage may vary. :-)

    Oh, and for dire episodes of grumpiness, I have a happy sounding playlist on my ipod. I asked my friends to help me compile it and got some great suggestions!

  18. I think you should get some candles, your favourite drink and have a long relaxing bath, telling your family that you don't want to be disturbed until you come down again.

    As for the cat i'd show it pictures of grumpy cat and tell it if it wants to be a cat with attitude then it will have to try a bit harder

  19. Walking always cheers me up and clears my head, even on a cold day a good long walk makes you feel better. Grab a friend or a dog, wrap up warm and go walking a couple of times a week, or daily if you've got the time. If you don't have time at the end of the day, try getting up an hour earlier or walking to work rather than taking the car.

  22. Start horse riding. Its exhilarating, good fitness, helps body awareness and balance, gives you adrenalin rushes like you've never known (good, and bad sometimes), putting your trust in a 400kg animal who lets you on his back.
    I always come back off a ride buzzing and cheery, doesn't matter what the weather is like. I promise you will never look back. @Kirstylu29

    Horse riding!!! It's exhilarating, good fitness, an adrenalin rush (mostly good, sometimes not so much), satisfying, its a whole new level of trust in a big powerful animal who trusts you in return and lets you on his back.
    Riding (nearly) always ends with me feeling amazing!!! :D

  49. Sign up to lovefilm or similar and then you'll have a pick of some top films to watch in the evenings rather than being stuck with just TV. Also we go out for walks in the evenings all year round to keep fit and healthy, and it helps you sleep better!

  76. Hi Claire, sorry to hear you have not been so well. Hope you feel better soon. This works for me- get yourself off to the hairdressers even if it is just a wash and blow dry. Have an extra conditioning treatment. If your hair feels right then everything else seems to feel better.

  108. These are the things that I do to cheer myself up,not sure if they'll work for you but they always do for me :)
    1.Eat a large bar of your favourite chocolate(mine is Milkybar)
    2.Put on your Onsie
    3.Watch some video's on you tube(my favourites are anything with Ray Quinn in )
    and lastly
    4.Enjoy your favourite hobbies

  109. Create a little herb garden. I have one on my window sill and as well as being pretty to look at I get a lovely waft of scent every time I open or close my curtains or the window :) I have some yummy basil, coriander, mint, etc which I cook with on occasion, but my favourite is my lemon balm - it smells heavenly and makes delicious tea which someone once told me is known as 'happy tea'! :D

After my mom passed a couple of years ago i was really struggling to cope, my husband and i were out one day and we went into a pet store, we ending up buying a rabbit, our first pet, i love her to bits and looking after her gave me comfort and helped me through a hard time, also CHOCOLATE helps alot xxx
