Lockdown Antidote day 1

A lockdown antidote sounds like a very posh Aunty you might have stashed somewhere in your family.Another lockdown another whole heap of can of worms but I digress and today my sights are set on the mighty Joe Wicks saviour of Lockdown fitness and all round nice guy.

I thought as Michael Bubble returned to his Christmas cave then Joe Wicks would emerge and low he did like a prodigal Jesus and he can cook to boot.I thought that maybe just maybe I could do with some flexing up as the only excercise I’m getting is opening the front door to see the Amazon or Ocado person sprint off down the road like Usain Bolt ( they’re heroes and I’m grateful to them )

I found a 10 minute warm up which Joe assure me would be ideal before I threw myself into lunges and all manner of other athletic poses. Joe and myself started off well but then he got onto hip openers and I was 

“ Easy tiger we’ve only just met “

I think anymore hip flexing then my spleen would be able to be removed from my nose.

Feliz Navidad Tomato Potato Prawns

 

Ingredients 

Kind Prawns cooked

Tin of chopped tomatoes 

Onions 

Paprika

Garlic ( one clove crushed or dried Garlic granules )

Method

Put the tin go tomatoes in a dish 

Add a teaspoon of Smoked Paprika

Add some garlic 

add the prawns

Layer of sliced potato on top ( you can par boil the potatoes)

Plonk in oven for 40 minutes 180 c

How to Deal With Those Blighters Called Sprouts

How to deal with those blighters called sprouts 
Chop of the bottom of the sprouts 

Throw some butter in a pan and sauté them 
along with some carrots 

do this for about 10-12 minutes then throw in some stock and voila 

You’ve conquered those sprout blighters 

Salt and pepper to taste

Photos are Like The Ghosts Of Christmas Past

 I caught myself in the mirror the other day as the mirror seems to be the only one capturing my image at the moment and it is only a fleeting hold.Wouldn't it be be beautiful if our memories danced on held within the world of the mirror like a pictorial book for ever posterity.If you catch yourself thinking gosh wasn't I youthful or beautiful then .. then stop you still are and your worth goes further than skin deep.Do let yourself be captured on images as it is so important and self reflection is one of the things that lets us grow.You can have all the Christmas blogging guides in the world telling you to buy this or that or go do this experience but I tell you go capture within your current covid tier rules the world around you.It could be that banana bread recipe that failed or that puzzle that had the missing piece in it.

I am forever in posterity with ones that have gone and ones that are still here , here I am prior to my diagnosis of autism bucking the trend that autistic people don't smile.But with kind hearts and loving moments I do smile and I am smiling now as I keep looking back on the time that was and the time that will be.

Photos can be like the ghosts of Christmas past in the best possible way , so go get captured and remember to live laugh and learn.

Appliances Of Doom 2020

 I think there is an almanac somewhere foretelling of the trauma my household appliances will behalf in 2020 as I am sure I have been cursed by the technology fairy I mean how else can you explain it all !Well it first started with the dishwasher that just up and died with no warning and on a Sunday roast day too I mean talk about rudeness ! SO a new dishwasher was ordered and well that in itself was fraught with trouble as they delivered the wrong one and then it took such a long time to get the correct one.

Drama over or SO we though for then the kettle decided to have a nervous breakdown and I had to order a new one and the new kettle is wonderful it is one of those old fashioned types but cordless and reminds you of the one that your Nan used to have.

But wait roll on a few lockdown pandemic months and low it acme to pass that the oven decided to blow up in a strop and so we had to go to the fish and chip shop that dad.And we had n oven for a few days we could have had it sooner but we didn't want to shell out the extra £5 to get it here sooner.

All was quiet in the house nothing stirred not even a mouse till the other day I decided to ue the tumble dryer ) sorry polar bears ) and wouldn't you know it the door fell off.SO we have had to order a new one , I am not saying I am cursed but I am now whispering sweet nothings to my washing machine and fridge freezer and I think my husband is starting to have a complex not only over this but all the appliances going BOOOM BOOM BOOM .

PS I also managed to run over the cable of the vacuum and shredded  the outer cable .... 

SO if you need me I will be weeping in a corner !
