Appliances Of Doom 2020

I think there is an almanac somewhere foretelling of the trauma my household appliances will behalf in 2020 as I am sure I have been cursed by the technology fairy I mean how else can you explain it all !Well it first started with the dishwasher that just up and died with no warning and on a Sunday roast day too I mean talk about rudeness ! SO a new dishwasher was ordered and well that in itself was fraught with trouble as they delivered the wrong one and then it took such a long time to get the correct one.

Drama over or SO we though for then the kettle decided to have a nervous breakdown and I had to order a new one and the new kettle is wonderful it is one of those old fashioned types but cordless and reminds you of the one that your Nan used to have.

But wait roll on a few lockdown pandemic months and low it acme to pass that the oven decided to blow up in a strop and so we had to go to the fish and chip shop that dad.And we had n oven for a few days we could have had it sooner but we didn't want to shell out the extra £5 to get it here sooner.

All was quiet in the house nothing stirred not even a mouse till the other day I decided to ue the tumble dryer ) sorry polar bears ) and wouldn't you know it the door fell off.SO we have had to order a new one , I am not saying I am cursed but I am now whispering sweet nothings to my washing machine and fridge freezer and I think my husband is starting to have a complex not only over this but all the appliances going BOOOM BOOM BOOM .

PS I also managed to run over the cable of the vacuum and shredded  the outer cable ....

SO if you need me I will be weeping in a corner !

Have you had worse luck than me with appliances of late ?

Art Prints From Ink And Drop

Tea is my motivation that and cats .. ( adds in so is my family if they're reading this. )

#AD

It is to easy far to easy to get lost in the sands of time at the minute and that is very hard to do in the rubbish year that is 2020 if 2020 was a pizza it would have Pineapple on it I am sure of it.Tea is the drink that gets me going and I could drink it all day long. This is the year of not exchanging Christmas presents with family but instead buy yourself something and reveal it on Christmas Day.Now I am rubbish at buying stuff for myself and I will only buy stuff if I really need it and with the financial squeeze of this year it is really important to budget.

Quirk I have alway been about the quirk in fact it is my middle name or it would be instead of Samantha I have an irrational dislike to my middle name which is squashed in there between my first name and my surname.Recently I was sent a couple of prints recently from Ink and Drop they're a small family run business My prints wrapped up in brown paper arrived so well packaged in a cardboard tube . The high quality imagery is printed onto 230gsm matt fine art paper. And of course they use the latest high quality equipment and archival fade resistant ink and this all creates the beautiful prints you will receive.

Prices start from just £13 abs go up according to the size

I am planning to put these prints in the study or mancave where Mr T goes to do his photo editing or maybe just avoid the DIY job s I have planned !

So if you're in the market for an interior pick me up then please do head over to Ink and Drop as Im sure they're bound to have something you love.

Only Fools Rush In

Only fools rush in they say and mop themselves into a corner and they same goes I have to say for tidying the garage , I just went in one for one thing and four hours later I had tidied myself into a corner.I think garages are the elephants graveyards of the home because stuff fit either goes in the loft or if it comes out the loft it goes into the garage. And the stuff you do keep if the stuff of your kids and the stuff you hope they'll take with themselves when they leave home ( son is still at home eating out of honey nut cornflakes )

I have sorted loads of stuff out and been busy eBaying , it is amazing what people will buy and as they say

"One mans trash is another man's treasure "

And I am awfully good at spotting things in charity shops and buy it for myself and then sell it on when I am bored of it and want to change the decor , that way it keeps my decor fresh and I love being an eclectic sort of person.Yes I miss charity shops and the mooching round in them and also I miss antique shops and the like.

The Snippings Of Autumn

It is Autumn and I find myself thinking how the Dickens do we get to here but here are we none the less , I have my supermarket order set up so hopefully fingers crossed I won't have any problems getting what I need although there does seem to be panic .After months and months of trimming my hair myself .. I say trim more like cut then trim trim trim , having gone from long hair ( to my shoulders ) to a bob my hair was starting to look wayward. So wayward in fact that my hair could have set up its own progressive rock band and had a number 2 hit mainly because it was held of the top spot by some catchy tripe that will end the singers royalties for years to come.

Did not really do much at the weekend other than watch the rugby as my family had it on and drop some Savlon off to my Father In Law and show his 95 year old near sighted partner how to operate their new washing machine. It is well worth remembering that the little things we do in our indepeendce is so vital to our well being and our mental health.
