The Enemy And Ally Of Time When You Are Autistic

I am autistic and usually it doesn’t phase I work and roll with the punches and I saw I’m autistic as I see fit .I will not hide away from it but now and again there comes s situation where you feel the overload boiling up from your feet. You feel like the girl again who has forgotten their maths homework and your maths teacher is a crack commando and you end up in detention.

Sensitivity and autism do indeed come hand in hand but you know we just want kindness like everyone else.We are all human at the end of the day and some accommodations are just the basics of being human.I have found time is both my enemy and my ally in situations as sometimes I truly want the world to swallow me up. The passage of time allows me both to relax from the situation and offer a therapy by writing loosely about happens to me in such situations.

I really like being displaced it throws me and I have to throw an anchor out and hope it grounds me this could be anything from talking to someone to listening to classic musical I just have to work through my box of tricks to get back to where I need and want to be. I find social media can be a help I as I reach out tho those who know me and also other folk who are autistic.Reading the world helps as it allow s me to compute and quantify the situation of course there are occasions where it can go wrong but the path of life is a not always smooth.

I Bimble and SO should you probably

I have been walking for ages well ever since I could walk in fact and I didn't document my progress through the medium of social media .. it didn't exist back then in the mists of time and when everything was in black and white and everyone had rickets or some such Dickensian.Bimble is such a lovely word it drops on the tongue with a fizzy cola sweet and if you have one to many coal fizzy sweets then indeed you might bible just a little bit quicker.Yesterday was lovely day to wander and it was so glorious today however it is a very Sepia sort of day so much so I am beginning to think i am in the 1920s .

Walking is my source of fitness and I can not afford a gym and that is probably the cats fault they take an enormous amount of feeding I only have one cat but it is very demanding as cats are.

Bimbling allow you to go about your day in a leisurely way but I start of walking I always feel .. arrrgh until I get into my stride I expect it is a sensory thing for me but once I am going it’s all systems go.

Owning A Classic Bicycle What To Wear

Even the word bicycle has an elegance about it and I truly love my bicycle called "Myfawny" . It was an instance attraction for me and I think MyFawny feels the same now there's a little give in her saddle . We've both relaxed with each other and that is really important when you own a classic bicycle. Myfawny the bicycle is not a light lady but is one of substance and in that substance is a gliding elegance with the ding ding if the sweetie shop bell.

I feel as if I should be wearing a Tweed jacket and a soft scarf with pictures of bicycles with baskets on it. I'm not one for flowing dresses or skirts maybe one day a beautiful tea dress with a tea cup print  for the hot summer days.

I love this Winter scarf  from Whitestuff.

Another essential for classic bicycle cycling is the opportunity to stop for tea , and uniformed cucumber sandwiches cut into triangles ~ crusts off . Travelling with a tea pot is a tad impractical unless one  has been invented .

Also perhaps cake or a nice fruit salad as well for impromptu picnics .

What else could I take about on my travels , a picnic blanket and a good book ( for no one ever took a bad book with them did  they  ? Perhaps they did and it was a bad book that they hoped would get better ) I would also take my camera with me , I would like a in between camera in a nice shiny silver colour to shine in style , I would dream of being a National Geographic photographer photographing the lanes that I love so much.

And owning a nice sparkly dress is no barrier when you have a Pashley or a bicycle with an enclosed chain , everyone has to wear a sparkly dress when there is no need to as it will transform your day . Why save stuff for special occasions OK so you're not going to wear your wedding dress on the daily commute but I bet there are some people that will  life is fun and we need to maintain that .

And now the glow and brilliance of Spring is starting to show itself I can sparkle in the sunlight .

Disclosure ~ the bicycle is mine all
Mine and has a really nice ding ding bell . the House of Fraser kindly sent me the sparkly dress .

Photography My Storytelling Behind And Beyond

It isn't nice I mean really nice to have the privilege of the great outdoor and all the benefts it can offer and I really do enjoy a good walk outside no-one can have a bad walk outside unless they're eaten by a crocodile and that would be awfully rare in here in England though it may be more common in Wales I believe and in Scotland you're are certainly going to be eaten by a wild Haggis.

I think of my photography as a storytelling behind and beyond what I see ..

Tea Is My Everything

Yesterday I had my first appointment for speech therapy and it was a a good positive one and I do believe it is going to help me it is not going to solve everything about my speech but that is OK.If you didn't know I am autistic and I am totally OK with that it is OK that I have a monotone sound to my voice. There are things we may wish to change about ourselves but we can't and the the real point is to let things go that you can not change otherwise they will eat you up.

After my initial appointment for the speech therapy I decided to go into town and have a wander round which I love doing especially round the charity shops today I saw obscure vinyl record covers

and also to stop off for a obligatory cup of tea .Tea is life and life is tea and tea is law and tea is SO much better than coffee and NO I will not debate it as it is a truth written in stone somewhere yet to be discovered.I love tearooms especially ones with a vibe and a quirkiness and that old fashioned feel that is timeless , being old fashioned isn't being out of touch old fashioned is a like connective tissue it is essential to life and memory.Old fashioned is a social storytelling at its very best and I love it immensely.

I resisted an old tea shop in Derby I loved but it had been given a hipster overhaul with wooden shelves and fancy stuff here and there it was very hipster it was not the same. I saw they steal served in the vintage tea cups but there just seemed to be something lacking the old fashioned nature just didn't seem to be there. There was also background music playing where previously there was none and I am not always a fan of background music especially when it is loud and makes it hard to hold a conversation. So I left and went instead to the local museum and had tea amongst old china and tea pots and while there was still background music there was the slight hum of conversation without being unbearable.

Tea in a museum what could be better ... well if they let me use their vintage tea posts and cups maybe !!

Tea is everything to me and I am pretty sure I have a tea level that needs topping up to a certain level and without it .... no I can't bear thinking of a day without tea.
