I live to love

'I live to love don't you' ? Whether it is my family or a simple walk I think I  'live to love'. And with love comes appreciation of the simple things in life, you don’t always have to thrashing at life at full pace. Sometimes it's good to take stock of your life and ‘live to love’.

And with many children starting school watching them go it’s the hardest thing that perhaps that’ll you ll ever feel.  But as a parent loving them you give them empathy to ‘live to love’. For when you ‘love to live’ the world has a tranquil balance.

And when my son goes on the door I know that each little step he makes is one step nearer to the day , that invertible day he will go to university. I know that one day there will be one less key turn of the door, one less ceremonially plonking of his drinks bottle on the kitchen surface requiring filling.

I know that I will have given my son the feeling of ‘ I love to live’ and then he will be on the next step of his journey which will be ‘live to love’

Simple things

Does a quality post always have to be so many words. Can't the simple things in life just talk for themselves for once, and the simplest of things can be a village walk , it can be a raindrop on your cheek, a cup of tea, family warmth. Not wishing this to sound like the song "a few of my favourite things " but the simple things in life to me
are this ....

Mighty Walkers Lights Packing A Lunchtime Punch

It is hard not to accept the opportunity to review crisps despite me and my family watching what we eat . We do stil need the occasional treat after all life is very dull with such luxuries!  We are always careful balance what we eat and make sure we have lots of exercise. Walkers have yet again brought out a new range of crisps aimed at a young market with a cheerful character on the packet.

While some do not like the thought of including a packet of crisps with their child's pack lunch , who says that you have to give them a whole packet a day. You could spread it out depending on the each of the child over say two or three days, making sure you seal the packet with the remaining crisps afterwards. Though having said that you might be tempted to nibble on them your selves just before you embark on tidying the house up after getting back from the school run  or perhaps at work etc.

There are many social situations that crisp bring people together from pack lunches, to family occasions, picnics, cinema trips, walks, beach days to fun filled filled days to just chilling days.

New Walkers lights are ridged crisps that have 30 % less fat in them with no artificial colours or preservatives. There is a choice of three flavours and these are Cheese and Onion, Lightly Salted and Roast Chicken. All of the flavours are suitable for vegetarians to eat but they are not gluten free, not of the crisps contain nuts or sesame seeds and Walkers do not handle nuts or sesame seeds in their factories either.

We had our crisps with a salted peach salad which you can read about here, I have reviewed Walkers crisps before which you can read about here. But why just have your crisps whole why not add those little bits you always get at the bottom of packets to some cheese with you are cooking Shepherds Pie. Just make sure you crush them up before adding them to the cheese.

Or you could use them in topping on a nice piece of fish , what you do with them very much depends or your flavour of the crisps that you have to work with . You could go all retro and have them in a crisp sandwich the champion of all sandwiches.

Where can you buy Walkers Mighty Lights from I hear you cry ? Why from any good supermarket !

Disclosure This is a sponsored post I have not been told what to write about all thoughts word and opinions are my own.

Pets do you own them or do they own you ?

Pets do you own them or do they own you , that's always been the question. Pets undoubtedly distress you when the other day I had a some what torrid day that was nothing better that seeking the affection and solace of my cat. Admittedly Rollie the prissy, stuck up, aloof Silver Tabby has other ideas half the time. He had been sulking in the garden  for 2 days after I dangled his fur,I removed enough car fur to stuff a mattress.

I've had cats since I was 12 I've never fancied owning a dog despite requests from my husband and son looking at breeds that would fit through the cat flap. I've had muderous hamsters and once look after my Sister in Law's rabbit who was very much Jack Nickcolson in 'The Shining' and you aren't far wrong.

I thought about a rabbit once but shook this idea off after that "Rabbit " incident I was looking after my Sister in Laws (as she was on holiday) rabbit it looked sweet, had floppy ears and nibbled happily on a carrot. Whilst topping up its water and food I noticed it giving me a look , a look of love , a look that whispered pick me up and cuddle me. So I picked up the rabbit which was the size of a Shetland pony and gave it a cuddle " awwwh" it gazed into my eyes longingly it seemed to want to go for a little hope around.

So I took it into the house and let it have a little hop around ... it was like a scene from Snow white except it didn't help with the housework. Then I thought I best get the rabbit back into its hutch before my then boyfriend ( now husband ) came home. I thought it would be as easy as it was before and I would just scope the rabbit up in my arms and happily deposit it back it in its hutch.

I approached the bunny with open arms , it stopped looked and I swear it snarled .. brushing this notion off . I Went to pick it up it stopped again.. snarled and hopped for it little life.  I couldn't catch it .. even with the help of Elmer Fudd,  so in the end I found a laundry basket and step a trap for it. All this was done of course without hurting the rabbit... So now I had a laundry basket that was merrily moving round the living room in a quite eerie fashion.

SO I had to place the call to the boyfriend at work " Can you come home now the rabbit is going wild "

So he came home and did the caveman bit and put the rabbit back in the hutch! he wasn't best pleased. Needless to say when we did we get married we didn't get rabbits ... we had cats instead !

And my Sister in Law is just getting a new puppy so is busy sorting out all  his particulars such as pet insurance, vets etc and I don't think I will be dog sitting do you ! Some more inlays have Guinea pigs and they are name Ronald and Harry alas they are not wizards but are muggle pets.

This is Binky and Bugsy and they are the Guinea pigs of Food blogger Food Quine.

And yes I've owned fish as well they mildly psychotic as well, i don't think they were taking on traits on the owner now.

I know a dog will show you loyalty but so can cats so that's what we are sticking to  ........
