Raa Raa Interactive Playset review

Raa Raa's Interactive Playset provides hours of fun! Place Raa Raa on the smart spot outside his house and hear him speak. Place him on the smart spot by his garage and watch the palm leaves lift and the Cubby Buggy rev into action.

 Raa Raa even has his very own swing which he can play on. Inside his house is even more fun. With his own ladder and bed to lie on. There is even a secret chest! 

The playset is part of the "Interactive Play System" so any character figure can visit Raa Raa. Simply place them on the pad and listen as it recognises that character. Requires 2 x AA Batteries (not included). Age 2+

The smart spot is a clever and unique feature and I hope to be seeing more of this type of interactive feature in more toys. The playset is ideal for the development of mine motor skills which helps in the development of handwriting etc.

I am loving the card board tiger puppet genius and its an idea I will defiantly be using with reception !

Silly Soup a learning game.

One of the things that you child might do at school is a rhyming game called "Silly Soup" its very simple ad you can play it at home. You just simply have to make some picture cards of a box,fox etc basically words that rhyme.

Rhyming soup

Ask a small group to sit in a circle so they can see a selection of rhyming objects (e.g.

rat, hat, cat) placed on the floor. Use a bowl and spoon as props to act out the song.

Invite the children, in turn, to choose an object to put into the soup and place it in the

bowl. After each turn, stir the soup and sing the following song to recite the growing list of

things that end up in the soup.

Sing the first part of the song to the tune of ‘Pop Goes the Weasel’:

I’m making lots of silly soup

I’m making soup that’s silly

I’m going to cook it in the fridge

To make it nice and chilly

In goes… a fox… a box… some socks…

Silly soup

Provide the children with a selection of items with names that begin with the same sound.

Show them how you can make some ‘silly soup’ by putting ‘ingredients’ (e.g. a banana,

bumble bee and bug) into a pan in the role-play area.

Allow the children to play and concoct their own recipes. Play alongside them without

influencing their choices. Commentate and congratulate the children on their silly recipes.

Recite each child’s list of chosen ingredients. Make the pattern clear by emphasising the

initial sound. By observing mouth movements draw the children’s attention to the way we

start each word and form sounds.

Hell I am early but you know , I have had a grumpy week nothing has  been right the stars haven't aligned them selves and all that Jazz .  I still haven't got batteries for my scales .. actually where are my scales ?Anyway as I am on a diet meal planning is key aside the Chocolate Orange that met with the floor I have been good.

Wednesday Dinner: Jacket Potato with Tuna and light Mayonnaise though the teen is fussy and won't eat this so it will be Fish Fingers and mashed potato for him

                Dessert : Ginger & Apple loaf

All this I do with potion control and I do make sure I drink plenty of water and it helps keeps the cravings down

I love Charity shopping diving into amongst the rails, making sure my elbows are well placed So no one else can get a look in . I am like Gollum with  his Precious when I have found something . And my  Precious this week was a Tank  top which was £4.99 orginally from wallis .. granted I had to go to M &S and buy a top to go with it  but still it was in the sale !

Once in a lifetime

Once in a lifetime that's how kindnesses appear to be  but trust me it isn't so. If you look you will see various acts of kindness raining down. Little things matter they enforce how we feel and act around our fellow human beings. Take me for example I am the very last to blow my own trumpet, but I helped my school get a trim trail I was a link in a chain that achieved that. I appear in a little way into this ...

Then in town the other day I went to Pizza Express to have .. well a pizza I had a voucher to use,  Pizza Express was busy which is usually a good site, an indication of good food and service. I placed my order sipped my diet coke and then my pizza arrived. Unfortunately my pizza was cold I calmly informed the waitress who said sorry took it away and came back with a hot fresh pizza. She said to me

"I have taken it off your bill"

I replied "Thank you very much" Now they didn't t have to do this but they did it was good service and good manners so again little things matter. I gave the voucher I was going to use to someone in the restaurant so more people benefited from one act of kindness.

And then going back on the bus the bus driver ensured that the husband and his wife who was in a wheel chair got on the bus first. Then when they needed to get off the bus he lowered the bus as they do and then got out of his seat to make sure the secondary ramp went onto the pavement. Brilliant I gave the driver a knowing smile you know the one that says

"Thank you you make the difference "
