White Stuff : National Wear a tea cosy on your head day !

Its that time of year again The White Stuff’s Annual national wear a tea cosy on you head day on Thursday 27th September.  The event will be a day of fundraising and exciting activities with White Stuff staff and customers sponsored to look daft for a day and don a tea cosy for charity.

And guess what ..... ?

Yes last year my cat won it hurrah! `honest he did and the runner up was a chicken so anything goes !

Wear a tea cosy on your head day.

Last year White Stuff raised over £30k for charity with lots of people getting involved and this year we’re aiming to make NWATCOYHD even bigger and better than before. There are lots of ways people can get involved to raise money and awareness for White Stuff’s charities including; buying one of the £3 tea cosies sold in store, attending one of White Stuff’s shop tea parties or knitting their own tea cosies (with our downloadable Grannies Inc. pattern).

Each of the White Stuff shops will be hosting a tea party on the day which will include fun activities (for kids too) and shop staff will be serving tea and cake. You  can get involved by donning a cosy and taking a photo to raise awareness for NWATCOYHD. You can do this by tweeting your ( or yours families photo) to White Stuffs twitter account  photo (mentioning #teacosy) or posting it on the White Stuff Facebook page

White Stuff’s 85 local charities will be getting involved in fundraising too. Each of the White Stuff shops supports its own local charity, helping disadvantaged children and young people in the UK and all money raised on the day will go directly to these charities. The charities are supported by the White Stuff Foundation, which was set up in 2010.

We have lots of celebrities supporting the campaign, including Jessica Wright from TOWIE, Alexandra Shulman, Jacquetta Wheeler, Jamie Oliver, Harry Hill, June Brown, KT Tunstall, Henry Holland, Jo Wood, John Rocha, Jimmy Doherty, Valentine Warner, Newton Faulkner and Ben Shephard.

So go on join it myself and Rollie had so much fun ( Rollie is the sort of cat that smiles from within honest)

Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel Review

As I approach that age my skin really needs all the help I can get so I was delighted to try out the Papaya Enzyme peel. This to be honest is a product  I have never bought before but as I received this product for free all the better.

"The ultimate skin brightener. Skin feels and looks different after just 10 minutes with this on the skin. The natural exfoliating fruit enzyme action of Papaya and Pineapple smooth, brighten and clarify the complexion. This unique, non-granular exfoliating cream contains nourishing Milk Protein, Anti-Oxidant-rich Vitamin E and Marine algae to moisturise, repair and protect the skin. Perfect for complexions which are sensitive or mature."

I could feel the product tightening on my skin within 10 minutes it recommends that you put his product on for 10 -15 minutes then wash off. And my skin defiantly looked brighter and healthier and so much smoother it had cleansed me from the grime of the London streets and the tube!

Also  you find some exfoliators too 'grainy' or abrasive and leave skin feeling / looking a little red afterwards then this is product for you. !!. I felt so relaxed afterwards it was magical as if I had a facial at a swanky spa.

At around £24 depending where you shop you might feel that this product is quite expensive but you are not going to be using it everyday once a week at the most maybe. And for the frugal amongst you can shop around and even see if there is a product that does the same thing for less money.

Elemis Papaya Enzyme peel.

It is an indulgent item but then again if we don't treat ourselves once in a while , we won't be relaxed for the situations that life can throw at us. It is available to buy from here but always do shop around as that money you save may be enough for a cheeky cocktail.

(Disclosure I received this product at a blogging event and I was not told to write about it all words and opinions are my own)
